We only ask for what we need to answer your enquiry, and we never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Ridgeline Studio (“we”, “us”) is a web design studio that builds websites and enquiry systems for residential estates. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website, and we handle it in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect what you give us on the form:

your name, your email address and, if you add it, your phone number;
the name of your estate, development or company, and your current website address if you share it;
the type of enquiry, the stage of your development where relevant, and your message;
your agreement that we may use these details to respond, and the page you sent the enquiry from.

We also count visits to this website with privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. They record things like the pages viewed, the site you came from, and your country, browser and type of device, without identifying you.

Why we use it

to reply to your enquiry and arrange a call;
to prepare a proposal and quote if you ask for one;
to keep a record of our conversation with you;
to understand, in aggregate, how this website is used so we can improve it.

We only collect what we need for these purposes. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Our basis for using it

We use your enquiry details because you agree to it when you send the form, and because we need them to take the steps you ask for before any agreement with us. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers that host this website, store enquiries and deliver our email, and only so that they can provide those services to us. Some of these providers may store or process information outside South Africa. Where they do, we rely on providers bound by laws or agreements that give your information a similar level of protection.

Email

When you send an enquiry, our website emails it to our team so that the right person can reply. Emails sent by our website may record when they are opened and which links are clicked.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics work without cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to respond to you and to manage any project that follows, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. After that, we delete them.

How we protect it

This website uses encrypted connections, and enquiries are stored in systems with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

You may ask us:

whether we hold information about you, and for a copy of it;
to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
to delete information we no longer need or should not have;
to stop using your information, or to withdraw your consent.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
